The Voice contestant Sundance Head very nearly went with another judge during his audition for this season of the hit reality singing competition.
The Texas-based singer impressed the judges with a soulful cover of Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” that had two of them fighting to get him on their teams.
“To be honest, I was going to choose Adam [Levine] if he had turned around for me. But when the bullets were flying, I kind of just — I’m not sure how I chose Blake [Shelton],” he told reporters on a conference call (quote via MJ’s Big Blog).
